Title: Butting Heads
Summary: Flynn thinks he's just dreaming what he saw. And then the next morning...
A/N: Pure silliness because plot bunnies. And I pretty much have a lot of flavors planned out for this year, just to keep me busy.

Oh, and hai RaTs, sorry for drifting away for a bit :3
"Hey Flynn, are you seeing what I'm seeing?"

Connor gestured Flynn towards the window on his side of the bed. Flynn pressed his nose on the window and squinted; there was nothing but the ebony black vastness that was the sea, spread out under a starry sky. To the right of the coast, a lighthouse stood atop a cliff that tapered up into a pointed edge.

"What am I looking at?" said Flynn. Connor turned his friend's head sideways, towards the other side of the coast.

Their eyes narrowed into slits, catching sight of the splashes occuring somewhere near the coast. Flynn leaned in a bit more, then gasped at what he saw.

A huge scuffle broke out between what looked like a couple of horns attached to the strangest pair of shapes bobbing in and out of the water. Both looked like rounded cubes on top of slender, snakelike bodies. A split-second they were back underwater, and the next, they leaped out of the water, soaring up a dozen feet in the air, before plummeting down in two huge splashes. Their routine went on for a few more minutes--butting heads, clashing horns, and leaping out of water. Though at one point one of them sent the other twirling up the air, only to come back down tumbling like

"Hey, Connor?" said Flynn. "What time is it?"

Connor turned to look at the clock on top of the door. "Half past midnight. Why'd you ask?"

"I get it now." Flynn turned around and looked at him with a blank expression through heavy eyelids. "I'm seeing things. Oh well."

He stretched his arms and crawled back to his side of the bed. He fell asleep in a matter of seconds. Connor shrugged it off as well and turned in for the night.

The next morning, Flynn woke up to find himself shrieking and falling out of bed. Connor woke up only to leap out of the bed. There, stuck to the wall, and just a few feet from impaling Flynn was one of the creatures they saw last night. It wriggled and lashed violently, but couldn't remove its horns from the wall.

Flynn almost fainted after getting back on his feet, just to see the horns shaking itself loose from the wall. A couple of seconds later, they heard a splash and saw through the windows how the creature darted through the water, away from the coastline.

Still shaking and weak in the knees, Flynn turned to Connor, who stood frozen by the windows. "Still think it's a dream, huh, Flynn?" he heard him say.

Strange aquatic creatures, as far as I can say at the moment ;) And there'll be art for those creatures soon!

It leaped a little too high for its own good; those things aren't as good with eyesight. Some art will definitely clear things up.
