Summary: Being sat on the fence is great until it's for real.
Notes: My brain and I need to have Words about what fires off ideas.

The worst time to have second thoughts was when he was perched astride the fence. “Why am I doing this?”

“You’re dressed for it.” Alex shrugged up at him.

“I don’t think I want to.” There was no difference between the ground either side of the chain-link, but the turf beneath Alex’s feet was starting to look a lot greener.

“Tough.” A sudden shove beneath his hanging foot overbalanced him. No amount of flailing could stop him toppling over the edge. The ground slammed into him.

A shadow fell over him; he looked up to see tree-trunk legs. “Oh shit...”

I'm glad it's not just me!
