Story: Radial: Unravel
Challenge: Guava #22 - Say Cheese
Word Count: 100
Summary: Milos realises there's always someone destined to catch that embarrassing moment - and it's always the last person you want to see.
Notes: This is right at the end of what I've been writing but I'm not ready to post any of that yet! Argh. First Person Present like Simon's story in Radial, from a slightly different perspective. (You may remember Alex from "You Don't Know What You're Missing".)
I’m trying, but I’ve been trying for two hours and I’m knackered! I want a break!
“Kick, kick— Come on, London. No slacking.”
Because with all this sweat I really look like I’m slacking, right? My feet are sore, I’m sore, and I’m not made to bend like this. Why am I doing this?
I’m trying! And— fuck! Me and the floor get to know each other much better.
There’s a shout of laughter behind me. Sounds weird: loud and empty. Alex, and his smartphone’s pointing right at me.
That’s going on the internet, isn’t it?
