FOTD: Lucifugous

Author: Regret
Rating: PG
Story: Arkadian
Challenge: FOTD - Lucifugous
Extras: Pocky
Word Count: 100
Summary: Arkadiy has a hangover. Again.
Notes: A bit of fluff, because something has been nomming my brain again and what little inspiration I have has been directed elsewhere... And somehow, I just really missed Arkadiy.

“Mmph.” He closed his eyes tightly, buried his face into the cushion. Anything to get away from the searing pain blazing behind his eyeballs.

“Captain Olenov.”

The cushion was pulled, unceremoniously, out from under his head; the light was back, worse than ever. With fumbling fingers he pulled his T-shirt up and over his face instead. It didn’t help.

He barely registered the sigh. He did register the book bouncing off his skull; it made no difference to the throbbing headache. “If you have a hangover again, Captain, I swear…”

Oh - Vanya.

The headache was just about to start.

I'm not sure Vanya would agree with you there. XD (Although she would probably swear... XD;; )

Why do I get the feeling Arkadiy is a bit of a troublemaker? *amused*

Ahhh he can't help it; he's good at what he does, he just struggles with everything else. XD;; Unfortunately for him, 'everything else' is pretty much... well, life. XD;;;;

By this point I think she's a little sick of going to visit him and run checkups, only to find him passed out on the bed / sofa / floor / table... She really has no compunction about making him suffer for it either! (That book? The least of his problems... XD )

Have to admit that it's my favourite part too. >_> Poor Arkadiy, I'd almost feel sorry for him if he didn't always bring it on himself...

I should feel sorry for Arkadiy for having to deal with this while hung over... but I don't. Maybe if he hadn't done this to himself I would feel more sympathy for him.

Ah he does bring it on himself a lot. Although this is the point where he's a depressive alcoholic who barely leaves the house if there's a chance he'll see another person - and despite Vanya telling him off, he won't get help. *headdesk*

But he'll become a (sort of) functioning member of society soon and catch up with my later stories... when I figure out what plot I'd been planning when I first started writing him. ^^; *can't remember how she intended to get from here to there...*

lol I thought I was the only one who did that with my plot lines.

I think the worst thing is that it was my Script Frenzy piece a few years ago! I must have just had the basic ideas and expected the rest to fall into place, but it hasn't yet... Or the whole thing's just wandered off somewhere.

It's so frustrating it happens, isn't it? Do you lose plots often, or just occasionally?

I lose my plots all the time. Especially if I don't have them written down in my plot folder.

What will happen is, I write the start, then I write the ending (because I want to make sure I know where my story is going). When I go back to write those in between scenes, I can't because I can't remember how I was suppose to go from point A to B. I have the beginning and end but no middle. It is very frustrating.

LMAO! I think I must agree with the last line there! And I have missed Arkadiy as well. He's very entertaining. Especially when put upon, lol! Nicely done :)

Sometimes he really is disturbingly good fun to write. Hopefully that'll carry over into NaNoWriMo... Haha, he may be put-upon, but he did really bring this one about himself - he should have known she'd be visiting. XD;;; I suspect more pain will follow now...
