Title: Giant Footsteps in the Hallway
Summary: Olive always felt something waited for her outside her bedroom at night.
A/N: So fluffy it hurts. And you can never have enough fluff of these two.
Olive feared the hallway outside her room during the night.

She imagined a giant creature pacing the hallways, grunting and roaring, as if waiting for her to come out and check what was going on. Olive cowered in her bed, afraid to come out from under her bedsheets, lest the creature come and take her away.

The footsteps grew louder, and the creature's voice grew rougher. It was now calling out her name through the grunts and snorts.

She peered out from under the bed, only to see the doorknob turn, and the door creak open.

Mars gently pushed the door open, closing it as he walked over to where Olive was. She was still trembling from the very idea of a monster outside her room.

Although when Mars was with her, things change.

He wouldn't understand why she wanted him to sleep over at her room at first, but either way, he couldn't leave the little girl alone. But before he shut his eyes and lay asleep on the couch near her bed, Mars heard her whisper one small sentence to him.

"...I love you."

It made sleeping in her room worth it.
