I might be pregnant.

At first I didn't imagine throwing up was anything but food poisoning. Me and Croy shared the appetizer platter at Ruby Tuesday's...maybe it was those mozzarella sticks? But that was four days ago, and I'm still barfing. My last period was six weeks ago...it's obvious, right? One round of antibiotics plus two missed BC pills equals possible baby. Croy teased me about having something unusual rattling around in my uterus. We decided it was probably a sparkly vampire fetus. So maybe that last part isn't a joke...

I got a bunch of pregnancy tests (five), and now I'm waiting for the first one to show a “Yes” or “No”. One word that either changes my life or doesn't. Right now me and the husband are two post-grads with massive debt, a crummy apartment, and uncertain careers. It changes our future by adding one more person into our unit; from a duo to a trio. What if...maybe it's too early for contemplating the options. Should I go ahead and label this a “crisis”?

I should get off the bed and just go in there. How long can I avoid finding out the answer? Could I delay it by tossing out the first test and going through the other four? Five tests increase the odds of something inevitable.

I'll go in there now. Then I'll come back in and write down the answer.

I'm pregnant.

Now what do I do?

I guess the first thing she should do is tell her hubby? Or maybe get a check-up from a doc. Morning sickness so early on doesn't sound so good. Nicely written :)
