Story: Misfits
Notes: don’t ask because I have no idea what this is about. It took me about half an hour to get this done and I have a really bad cold, so it might be the meds. On a better note, I got accepted into the MA British and American Studies :D
Mara can tell who she's here to meet as soon as she enters the bar. Not that he sticks out like a sore thumb, it's how well he fits in that stands out to her.
It could be worse, she decides after surveying him. He's leaning over the bar, chatting up the bartender casually but stops immediately when Mara siddles up next to him as if caught in the act.
"I need a drink," she says. Both truth and the code they'd agreed on.
"Old-fashioned?" He suggests. Her favorite. Also code.
"You offering to buy me one?"
"Of course," he grins. "I'm old-fashioned like that."

And I would like to see more of Mara's spy adventures.
I always think about writing more about Mara and then I end up not doing it, maybe because I lack inspiration, maybe because I need to sit down and figure out what she actually does all day long.
That's an intriguing pocky (I'd love to read more :) ) and I love their code too, it's rather sweet.
I always say I'll write more about Mara's solo adventures but I never do for some reason. I should though.

and spies are a little like normal people ;)
And this makes me curious towards their code. But this sure sounds sweet :)
I have no idea about the code myself. I may have to try and figure it out.
